Over the past 25 years, Glenn Bair has produced a wide array of published photographs and artwork. Mr. Bair received credit as a still photographer for “Little Man,” the 1999 short film featuring Frankie Muniz of Malcolm in the Middle. He was commissioned by Antone's records to photograph Doug Sahm's 1997 album The Last Real Texas Blues Band. In 1998, Mr. Bair was also hired by music label BMG to create the cover and CD tray artwork for the album Lo Mejor de la Diferenzia. Glenn Bair also produced works of art featured in Wired magazine and The Austin Chronicle. His photography of solar electric and thermal water heating installations has been published by Planergy and the United States Department of Energy. He also designed a book of poetry titled Spinning Jenny, published by Black Dress Press in 1994. On Imagekind, an online community of professional artists and photographers, Glenn Bair features and offers for sale a sampling of his thousands of photographs.
Prior to joining Aetna, Inc., in Connecticut, Glenn Bair graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1992. After receiving his degree, Mr. Bair continued to build his photography skills and expertise, joining the Eastman Kodak Company Center for Creative Imaging as a Course Instructor. In this capacity, Glenn Bair developed curricula and delivered instruction for imaging courses over a two-year span.
Glenn Bair currently serves Aetna as a Senior Project Manager, managing myriad technology and web-related projects, among other responsibilities. Throughout his career, Glenn Bair has developed a range of marketable skills in photography and digital imaging, as well as in document management, information architecture, project and vendor management, training, public speaking, and taxonomy.
Outside of his work with Aetna, Glenn Bair contributes to numerous charities, including Hawkwing, a nonprofit organization designed to provide cross-cultural education and other resources for peoples of the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation (Sioux-Lakota) in South Dakota. Glenn Bair visited the Cheyenne River and Pine Ridge reservations in 2009 and described the experience as transforming. Mr. Bair volunteers to help Hawkwing with its annual give away. Each year, Hawkwing collects donated children's toys, clothing, and personal care items, which are then delivered to families living on the Cheyenne River Reservation.
